SEA Work Session 5

We meet as a full group on Zoom Tuesday, February 4 at 6:15 pm PST with three items on our agenda.

First, we will have a short presentation on the criteria you should use in evaluating the venture ideas you are researching.

Then, second, we will use breakout rooms to have the staff from our participating organizations do an exercise to get to know each other and about the organizations participating in the Academy. We have found this to be an important part of the Academy as many of the organizations may face similar challenges and may be able to work with each other.

During this exercise, we will gather the students in another room to review the research on three venture ideas that they are bringing to the meeting. Students, you should bring your completed SWOT Analysis and Venture worksheets to the meeting as well as any documentation of market research that you have done.

Finally, in the third part of the meeting, we will have each team of students meet with the staff of their organization to present and review the market research that they have done and to plan for market research going forward. Our goal is to have enough information gathered in two weeks so that you can choose the one venture that you will focus on in our next joint meeting.
